Blow the doors off!

I blogged this summer about a huge piece of furniture I found in Michigan and dragged back to Charlottesville.  I had to leave the kids in Michigan to fit the piece of furniture in my car! Here it was, as found in the Old Corner Store…

This piece sat all fall waiting for the perfect client. I knew she would find a great home and she did! We had a client that needed a storage piece in her basement bathroom. So, we took the doors off to create open shelving, lacquered the inside for a clean, crisp finish, and painted the exterior with Annie Sloan’s Chalk Paint in Paris Gray. She looks great in her new home and provides ample storage for towels and bath accessories. I love when we re-purpose a piece and find a wonderful home for it.
